During the 2022 expedition to the HMS Terror shipwreck, which was part of the Franklin expedition in the 1840s, researchers observed a phenomenon known as « alliances » among the sedentary animals. A new species of crab was discovered, and some specimens showed signs of a possible syndrome of stress traumatique, which could be linked to the noise and presence of the submersible robot.
