Resume de l’article : Décès de Peter Higgs, père du boson : « Imaginer que ma théorie était fausse semblait difficile »
Peter Higgs, the physicist who proposed the existence of the Higgs boson, has passed away. The Higgs boson, also known as the « God particle, » is a fundamental particle in the Standard Model of particle physics that is responsible for giving other particles mass. The existence of the Higgs boson was confirmed by experiments at the Large Hadron Collider in 2012, and Higgs was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics the following year. Higgs was known for his humility and once said that he found it hard to imagine that his theory could be wrong.
